In 1993, the team moved to Miami, Florida and became the Miami Hooters after agreeing to a sponsorship deal with the restaurant chain, best known for its waitresses. After 3 seasons, the team became the Bobcats, where they played 2 seasons in West Palm Beach, Florida and then moved to the BankAtlantic Center, home of the NHL's Florida Panthers.
